Growth and investment propositions
Working out what the offer is, who it is for and why businesses, partners or funders should get behind it.
Growth, partnerships and delivery
Independent growth and delivery adviser
I help councils, growth partnerships and organisations turn growth plans into programmes that people understand, support and deliver.
I usually get involved when an organisation knows what it wants to achieve but needs help sharpening the offer, bringing partners together or getting the work moving.

I provide experienced support where a strategy, programme or partnership needs to move forward.
Working out what the offer is, who it is for and why businesses, partners or funders should get behind it.
Getting the right organisations around the table, agreeing what each needs to do and turning discussions into action.
Helping a new programme, partnership or contract get started, tackle early delivery problems and build momentum.
Making the offer clearer, understanding the audience and developing activity that brings in businesses, partners and participants.
A 30-day review of a growth programme, with clear priorities for moving it forward
A partnership mobilisation plan with clear roles and actions
An investment or business engagement proposition
A stakeholder plan and 90-day priorities
These are examples. I shape the work around the problem the organisation needs to solve.
Most recently, I worked at Thames Freeport, a major place-based programme linked to more than £4.5 billion of planned investment across East London and Essex.
My role covered marketing, investment and regeneration, business engagement, skills, community outcomes and social value. Much of the work involved joining up councils, government, businesses and delivery partners, then turning broad commitments into activity.
Before that, I held senior roles at the Department for Business and Trade across business growth, international trade, marketing, partnerships and overseas markets.
At the British Embassy in Mexico, I led marketing and partnership activity for the UK’s GREAT campaign, working with government, businesses and commercial partners.

I have spent my career working across government, economic growth, international trade, marketing, regeneration and partnership delivery.
That has meant working with Whitehall departments, councils, businesses, investors and communities in the UK and overseas.
I am at my best when a project needs someone to make sense of different priorities, bring the right people together and keep the work moving.
